The GFWC Virginia Blue Ridge District
 
The GFWC Virginia Blue Ridge District is one of eight districts comprising the GFWC Virginia federation.  Currently the Blue Ridge District includes clubs located in Blacksburg, Bedford, Bent Mountain, Botetourt County, Christiansburg, Floyd County, Roanoke City, Roanoke County, Smith Mountain Lake, and Vinton.

The GFWC Virginia

Our state organization was organized in 1907 to bring closer unity of the women's clubs of Virginia.  We are a volunteer organization uniting 198 clubs in eight districts with 5,930 members willing to help meet the needs of today and whose purpose is to work cooperatively giving service in our local communities, state and world.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs
 
The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) was founded in 1890.  We are one of the world's oldest, nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations.
 
Membership of approximately 100,000 with 4,000 clubs in the U.S. plus additional international members.
 
 
 

Members who actively participate in their club gain valuable experience in the areas of leadership, public speaking, organizations, and fund-raising. There is also personal satisfaction knowing that you are able to make a difference.
