The GFWC Virginia
Our state organization was organized in 1907 to bring closer unity of the women's clubs of Virginia.
We are a volunteer organization uniting 198 clubs in eight districts with 5,930 members willing to help meet the needs of
today and whose purpose is to work cooperatively giving service in our local communities, state and world.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs
The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) was founded in 1890. We are one of the world's oldest,
nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations.
Membership of approximately 100,000 with 4,000 clubs in the U.S. plus additional international members.
Members who actively participate in their club gain valuable experience in the areas of leadership, public
speaking, organizations, and fund-raising. There is also personal satisfaction knowing that you are able to make a difference.
